Giovanni Porro
Chief Creative Officer and founder of I’m not a robot.
Born in the windy Trieste and professionally raised in Milan, he kicked off his career as creative at Pirella-Gottsche, later Lowe Milan. Then he has been working as creative director at BGS, D’Arcy Benton & Bowles, EuroRSCG, DLV BBDO. Prior to forming his own I’m not a robot_, Giovanni has held for twelve years the office of Executive Creative Director and Board Member of Havas Milan, and served as member of the Havas European Creative Council.
With over 25 years in the industry, Giovanni has worked on major accounts like BMW, Peugeot, Citroen, Ferrero, Reckitt Benckiser, Heinkel, P&G, Allianz, Mondelez, Swatch, Q8, Generali, Campari, TIM Telecom Italia, Coop, Cassina, Edison, Ferrarelle, La Feltrinelli, Il Sole24Ore and many other for both, national and international markets.
His work has been awarded with multiple prizes at Cannes Lions, New York Festival, One Show, D&AD, Clios, Andy, Webby, FWA, London International Award, Eurobest, ADCE, Art Directors Club Italiano. His worldwide campaign Peugeot 206 ‘The Sculptor’ is one of the most awarded ads in the advertising history and one of the most loved as well.
Giovanni has been invited to be part of jury panel at international and domestic award shows, including Cannes Lions, New York Festival, Eurobest and ADCI of which he was member of the Executive Board. He holds lectures at communication academies and universities, Politecnico di Milano and University of Trieste, to name a few.
