During the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of 2021, Africa ranked last among the continents in terms of the number of vaccinations administered.
Less than 3% of the population had received both doses, including doctors.

In Italy, during the same period, approximately 87% of the population received the full vaccination. Yet there are 10% who have no intention of getting vaccinated, even though they can. This is a choice that African people do not have.
